Message from the Principal

Creativity is as important now in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status. — Ken Robinson
Year 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Saint John's Academy. We are taking the opportunity to look ahead in the future, examine the current state, and honour the legacy of the school. INVICTUS a literary and cultural competition is organised every year to provide the students a platform that inculcates a sense of competitive spirit, leadership qualities, meticulousness, cooperation and develop self confidence. Co-curricular activities give students an opportunity to develop particular skills and exhibit their non-academic abilities. They are the true and practical experiences gained by students by their own learning. The main aim of education is to foster all-round development of a child. All round development essentially means intellectual, physical, moral and social development.
These competitions groom the students in the “art of living and working together”. It helps to enhance the all round personality of the students to strongly face the turbulent road of the future.
It is a known fact that students pursuing their hobbies achieve better results in their studies. Participation in debates, drama, music, sports etc help in achieving better education. In this competitive era where grades matter a lot, students pursuing any co-curricular activities of their choice are given preference over those who are not involved in any such things.
It gives me pleasure to invite talent from institutions to be a part of this two day literary and cultural festival. This will motivate the participants to achieve goal; to demonstrate determination; persevere to overcome challenges and to understand that hard work and commitment leads to a greater chance of success.

Dr Z Rizvi,
Principal
