SJA Students Excel at CISCE Zonal Athletics 2024; Earn Spots in Regional Championships

Saint John’s Academy is proud to announce the selection of our students for the CISCE Regional Athletics Championship following their stellar performances at the Zonal Selections held at our very own campus in Prayagraj on July 31 – August 1, 2024.

During the two-day event, our athletes demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, competing against the best from the zone and securing their positions to represent Prayagraj at the upcoming Regional Championships scheduled to be held at Saint John’s School (DLW, Varanasi) from August 23 to 25, 2024.

Under 14:

• Prapti Gupta, Class 8: Secured a Silver Medal in Shotput.

Under 17:

• Suhana Anand, Class 10: Won a Silver Medal in the 3km Walk and a Bronze Medal in the 1500m event.

• Astha Sonkar, Class 10: Earned a Bronze Medal in the 3000m.

• Vaishnavi Singh, Class 9: Triumphed with a Gold Medal in the 3km Walk.

• Shivani Mishra, Class 9: Achieved Bronze Medals in both the 400m Hurdles and Discus throw.

Under 19:

• Khushi Keshari, Class 11: Claimed a Silver Medal in the 800m.

• Zaara Aurora, Class 12: Captured a Silver Medal in the 1500m.

• Shweta Tiwari, Class 12: Dominated with a Gold Medal in Long Jump and a Bronze in Shotput.

• Shweta Minz, Class 12: Took home a Bronze Medal in Javelin.

These results highlight not only the athletic proficiency of our students but also their commitment to excellence. As they prepare for the Regional Championships, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their continued success.
