The 23rd of November 2024 witnessed an action-packed celebration marking the Annual Sports Meet for the middle and senior sections of Saint John’s Academy.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Brigadier Upendra Singh Kandil, Group Commander, NCC Prayagraj, along with Lt. Col. L.B. Singh and Lt. Commander Prof. Dr. Ajin Ray of the Naval NCC.

This exciting day focused on gross motor skills and mental agility while fostering leadership, coordination, and life skills.

Through innovative sports activities and various track events, the students engaged in healthy competition, embodying the values of teamwork, communication, and resilience, all aimed at nurturing a lifelong love for fitness.

While the students of the four Houses (Dolphin, Tiger, Panda, and Eagle) competed as teams, there was also a strong drive to achieve individual glory. The eagerly awaited Tug-of-War and the Parents’ Race captured the interest and enthusiasm of the spectators.

Various drills showcased the coordinated efforts of the students. Highlights included the Spectrum Swarm, Fusion Flow, Jiu-Jitsu (the Karate Drill), the Bamboo Squad, and the NCC Battle Drill, all of which received special applause from the audience.

Ex-students of the school also participated in an Alumni Race, adding to the spirit of camaraderie and nostalgia. The spectators were treated to an enthralling display of talent and cohesion by students from Classes VI to XII.

Eagle House emerged as the overall champion, thanks to an outstanding all-round performance by its athletes.

The Chief Guest and the Principal of the school congratulated everyone and extended heartfelt thanks to those who contributed to making Sports Day a resounding success.
