Investiture Ceremony (2024-2025)

The Investiture Ceremony of Saint John’s Academy was held on 8th August, 2024. It marked the appointment of new leaders who would carry out their duties and responsibilities towards the Institution to the best of their abilities.

The guests were given a warm welcome by Mrs. S. Gupta. The programme commenced with a prayer by Mrs. J. Antony followed by the Scripture reading by Mrs. L. Abraham, which created a serene ambience.

The honourable Director, Mr. C. V. Innes handed over the leadership flags to the newly appointed Office Bearers. Vijjwal Singh and Kriti Mishra of Class XII B were appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Soham Shukla and Masoom Kesharwani were appointed as Sports Captains. The Captains, Vice-captains, and Prefects of the four Houses received their badges and sashes from their House Masters and House Mistresses.

All the Office Bearers took a solemn oath, pledging to fulfill their duties and responsibilities with honesty, integrity, and sincerity.

The newly appointed Head Boy, Vijjwal Singh, addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude. He emphasized the importance of seizing the present moment and acting with urgency and purpose. He reminded his peers that the opportunity to act is now and that their dreams and ambitions require immediate attention and dedication.

Mr. C. V. Innes, in his address, inspired the Office Bearers with words of wisdom. He encouraged them to work and cooperate with each other for the welfare of the School. He highlighted the importance of humility and leading by example, urging the new leaders to carry the school’s values forward and to inspire their peers through their actions.

Principal Dr. Z. Rizvi congratulated the newly appointed leaders and reminded them of the significant responsibilities they now bear. She highlighted the qualities that made them worthy of their positions—dedication, integrity, and readiness to lead by example. She emphasized that they are the new ambassadors of the school and must uphold the school’s values. Dr. Rizvi assured the students of the unwavering support from their teachers and classmates and encouraged them to seek guidance whenever needed. She urged them to lead with humility, to inspire through their actions, and to strive to create an environment where every student feels valued and motivated to achieve their best. Dr. Rizvi also extended her gratitude to the parents and teachers for nurturing these young leaders, making it easier for them to take up their responsibilities with grace. She concluded by wishing the students success and encouraging them to lead with vision, courage, and compassion.

The melodious School song sung by the School choir was pleasing to the ear.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Dr. Z. Rizvi, which was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony left a lasting impression on all present, reinforcing the values of leadership, responsibility, and service.
