Saint John’s Academy, Karchana celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervor on August 15, 2019. A gamut of activities were held in the campus to celebrate this special day in which the entire School participated. The Principal, Dr. Zareen Rizvi, hoisted the tricolour. The National Anthem echoed through the campus and was followed by Scouts and Guides promise. Our student Saksham Rastogi and Fariya Siddiqui gave their speeches which was followed by the song ‘Aye Watan’. A patriotic dance was performed by our little kids of Classes 1 & 2 and the song ‘ Teri Mitti ‘ filled everyone with pure patriotism. Next was a short patriotic skit by Classes 6 to 8 which was an introspection of one’s identity as a citizen and role towards society.
A well choreographed ‘Patriotic Mash Up’ by children of Classes 3 to 5 filled everyone with great pride.
At the conclusion of the program the Principal Dr. Zareen Rizvi spoke to the gathering reminding them of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. Sweets and refreshments were distributed to celebrate our Independence Day with the feeling of patriotism.
